THE HOLY NAME  SOCIETY OF ST. STEPHEN

The Holy Name Society is one of the principal  bodies of both  Parish activity and  of apostolate for the parish.  All the men of the Parish are considered at least nominal members though  it is required that the men  attend the monthly meetings occasionally.  The Society not only promotes the reverence  to the Holy Names of God and Jesus but also to the Church, the Holy Father and Hierarchy, Eucharist and Vocations.  As such the society sponsors a monthly Holy Hour, on the Thursday before First Friday of the month at 7 PM,  and every Thursday during Lent to pray for vocations,  to pray for the growth of the Parish,  and to make reparation  for sin.   The Society  has  different fund raisers during the year -  a raffle,  and fish fries during Lent -  to raise money  for different projects for the parish as well as  other charitable institutions.  Meetings  usually take place  on the last Sunday of the month at 9 AM  in the Parish Hall.  Come join us!  (Wives are welcome as well).
